The informal pleasure of typical cuisine and good wine
When we opened the Gambrinus Osteria Enoteca in 2008 we wished to create a deliberately informal restaurant where hospitality is expressed by healthy, innovative dishes and a passion for the wealth of wines typical of our territory.
In a cosy, young atmosphere we propose typical dishes that combine tradition and creativity, a full choice of our own wines, a selection of wines from local wineries, and craft beer.
The Gambrinus Osteria Enoteca, located in the oldest part of the building dating back to 1847, observes the summer and winter seasons differently:
- In the cold months the inn, which is often named “Osteria del Raboso” by experts and fans of the Piave Wine Route, is warm and welcoming, just like the dishes on the menu: mushrooms, creamy soup, Treviso IGP red chicory, produce from the nearby kitchen gardens, chestnuts and towards the end of winter the special Cimadolmo IGP white asparagus.
- From June to September the inn transfers to the waterside, at the springs of the River Lia, and provides open air lunches and dinners with fresh, brightly coloured, low-fat menus. A full programme of artistic and cultural events takes place under the pergola known as the Borsò, in the shade of centuries-old sycamores, where there was once a dance platform on the water.
